New strategic research plan for Torres Strait fisheries

The PZJA has endorsed a new 5-year strategic research plan for the Torres Strait Scientific Advisory Committee (TSSAC).

The TSSAC Strategic Research Plan 2025–2029 sets out the strategic themes to guide priority-setting for the next 5 years of research related to commercial Torres Strait fisheries.

Resource Assessment Groups and Working Groups for Torres Strait fisheries use this strategic research plan in the development of 5-year rolling research plans for specific fisheries, and to support TSSAC in assessing research priorities and applications for funding.
