Scientific permits
Scientific permits are issued to allow for scientific research by way of fishing in an area of Australian jurisdiction. Apply by lodging the following application form.

Development permits
Development permits are issued to allow for trials by way of fishing in an area of Australian jurisdiction.
They may also be used for a non-traditional inhabitant to provide training on a boat associated with a Traditional Inhabitant Boat Licence, if no Traditional Inhabitant is reasonably available to provide training.
Apply by lodging the following application form.
